45大卫对非利士人说：“你来攻击我，是靠着刀枪和铜矛，但我来攻击你，是靠着万军之耶和华的名，就是你所辱骂、带领以色列军队的上帝。 46今日耶和华必将你交在我手里。我必杀你，砍下你的头，今日我要把非利士军兵的尸体给空中的飞鸟和地上的野兽，使全地的人都知道以色列中有上帝，47又使这里的全会众知道，耶和华使人得胜，不是用刀用枪，因为战争全在乎耶和华。他必将你们交在我们手里。”48那非利士人起来，迎向大卫，走近前来。大卫急忙往战场，迎向非利士人跑去。 49大卫伸手入囊中，从里面掏出一块石子来，用机弦甩去，击中非利士人的前额，石子进入额内，他就仆倒，面伏于地。
45 Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword and with a spear and with a javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. 46 This day the Lord will deliver you into my hand, and I will strike you down and cut off your head. And I will give the dead bodies of the host of Philistines this day to the birds of the air and to the wild beasts of the earth, that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel. 47 and that all this assembly may know that the Lord saves not with sword and spear. For the battle is the Lord’s, and he will give you into our hand.”48 When the Philistine arose and came and drew near to meet David, David ran quickly toward the battle line to meet the Philistine. 49 And David put his hand in his bag and took out a stone and slung it and struck the Philistine on the forehead. The stone sank into his forehead and he fell on his face to the ground.
